Description
2-piece set of vintage Midcentury MCM Stavangerflint Norway pottery. Both the plate and bowl are hand-painted, and feature the same pattern of three fishes, one white with red spots, one yellow, and the other red with a white stripe, against a background of cobalt blue siqrling waves, and yellow, red, and blue dots and circles.
The bowl is higher at the back, and gently slopes lower to the front, showing of the amazing vintage fish pattern perfectly. The plate has rounded corners that curve upwards slightly, making it seem somewhat bowlish.
If you're familiar with Stavangerflint Norway, these two piece have all the whimsy and 1950s charm you would expect! The perfect new old addition to your vintage kitchen.
Size
The bowl is approximately 86mm wide at its widest point, and 58mm at its tallest point, and 40mm at its lowest point.
The plate is approximately 128mm square at the widest points, and rises perhaps 15mm deep.
Quantity
One small vintage bowl and matching small vintage plate
Condition
Both the Stavangerflint bowl and plate are in great vintage condition, with no chips, cracks or overall crazing noticed. There are a few dimples in the glaze on the back of the plate, and one in the lower outer front side of the bowl, but these would have been from manufacturing.
